The NMR center at the University of Lille - Cité Scientifique is part of the Plateforme de Caractérisation Avancée of the Institut Michel-Eugène Chevreul CNRS FR 2638. It brings together a range of NMR spectrometers (from 7.0 to 28.2 T) for molecular characterization of solutions and solids. Applications in liquid NMR range from structural determination of small molecules in solution to the study of soluble macromolecules such as proteins, polysaccharides, soluble polymers and their interactions. In solid-state NMR, we study the atomic-scale structure of amorphous or weakly crystalline materials, such as glasses, polymers or catalyst surfaces. In this case, it is a highly complementary technique to X-ray crystallography.
